Is your child ready to swap screen time for some "seam" time?

Amelia’s Sewing Club is a fun, hands-on space for young creators to learn a life-long skill. From threading their first needle to completing their own personal projects, we guide students through the wonderful world of textile arts.

There is something pretty special about the moment a kid realizes they can actually make the things they wear or use. At Amelia’s Sewing Club, we’re moving away from screens and getting back to basics, teaching kids how to turn a piece of fabric and a spool of thread into something they’re proud to show off.

It’s a brand-new space where we focus on the "slow-made" movement. We start with the fundamentals of hand-stitching and machine safety, then move through projects that build real confidence. It’s not just about making a mess with fabric; it’s about patience, fine motor skills, and that "I actually made this" feeling.

What happens in the club?

We believe in learning by doing. Our sessions are designed to build confidence, fine motor skills, and artistic expression.

  • The Basics: Getting comfortable with needles, cotton, and the machine.

  • Junior Projects: Fun, entry-level designs where we provide everything needed.

  • Skills for Life: We actually teach them how to hem their own pants and repair their favorite clothes.

  • The Final Project: Once they’ve found their rhythm, students work on a personal project that reflects their own style.
